At Astra Apartments, we’re always looking for ways to connect with our bookers—past, present, and future. From the way we tailor each stay to suit the individual needs of our corporate clients, to how we communicate what makes us different, we like to think outside the box. So when the idea came up to create our very own in-house promotional video for Astra Apartments Parramatta, we thought: why not?
We had a clear vision. We wanted to capture what makes our accommodation in Parramatta such a smart choice for business travellers and project teams. Spacious apartments, a personal approach, and a team that genuinely cares. The plan was to showcase the local experience, our attention to detail, and the friendly service our corporate travellers know and love.
What we didn’t plan for… was just how hard it would be to keep a straight face on camera.
Let’s just say, things didn’t go quite according to script.
Between forgotten lines, unexpected background noise, and more than a few awkward pauses, it became clear that our talents might be better suited to hospitality than Hollywood. But instead of shelving the project altogether, we did what we’re known for—we found a solution.
At Astra Apartments, creating solutions is at the heart of what we do. Whether it’s accommodating long-stay corporate guests with complex needs, adjusting a booking last-minute, or meeting an arriving traveller late at night at the apartment, we pride ourselves on making things work. And this time, that meant turning our would-be promo video into something a little different: a blooper reel.
Because if we can’t take ourselves too seriously, what’s the fun in that?
For those of you who have spoken with Chris Alexander, Director of Astra Apartments Parramatta, you’ll know he’s incredibly personable. In true form, Chris leaned into the chaos, making the whole process that much more enjoyable.
